JapanX Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 You can easily detect country of origin by flag positioning
JapanX Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 This thread will be continued in a couple of days. Cheers, Nick
fukuoka Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Nick, I have always heard that the badges in posts #17 and #18 are fakes. Have you heard anything about that?
JapanX Posted August 22, 2013 Author Posted August 22, 2013 Hi Rich, seriously? They claim that these pieces are phantasy pieces? Or they claim that these are replicas of original badges? Cheers, Nick
fukuoka Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Hmmm, a test of my faulty memory...But I think the latter may be true. I know that I have had #18 in my hands (years ago) but people decried it as fake--perhaps it was not a fantasy piece but a replica. However, I must confess that I cannot remember. One thing I do recall is that my badge(s?) had no reverse inscription, so perhaps that reveals something.
JapanX Posted August 22, 2013 Author Posted August 22, 2013 (edited) No reverse inscription on reverse of the badges from posts # 18 and #19?! Hmmm... As we see one is marked Alois Klammer Innsbruck and usually described as "Hitler Youth Leader Travel to Japan Badge" Here comes another example Edited August 22, 2013 by JapanX
JapanX Posted August 22, 2013 Author Posted August 22, 2013 (edited) Badge in post #18 marked with RZM mark + M 1/4 ... Edited August 22, 2013 by JapanX
JapanX Posted August 22, 2013 Author Posted August 22, 2013 (edited) Now this badge in post #17 Here is another example of such badge Edited August 22, 2013 by JapanX
JapanX Posted August 22, 2013 Author Posted August 22, 2013 (edited) There are indeed dubious badges (or let`s call them more dubious badges ). Here we have two examples of such badges. Badge from 1944 (don`t you think that it was a little but to late for such games ... ) and it is marked on reverse. Edited August 22, 2013 by JapanX
JapanX Posted August 22, 2013 Author Posted August 22, 2013 (edited) Another example of this 1944 Looks not very promising Edited August 22, 2013 by JapanX
JapanX Posted August 22, 2013 Author Posted August 22, 2013 (edited) And the most interesting one Rich. 1944 without reverse inscription I know, I know ... The photos are terrible Edited August 22, 2013 by JapanX
JapanX Posted August 22, 2013 Author Posted August 22, 2013 (edited) Another close up of badge commemorating the 1942 Tirol unity trip to Japan from Alois Klammer Innsbruck Another one Edited August 22, 2013 by JapanX
JapanX Posted August 22, 2013 Author Posted August 22, 2013 Interesting that this 1939 badge has (at least it looks like it has) towo variation of enamel Pure white Yellow instead of white
JapanX Posted August 22, 2013 Author Posted August 22, 2013 (edited) I bet that by now you are all a little bit tied of all these swastikas A little intermezzo... Just to cheer you up Edited August 22, 2013 by JapanX
