Turkey Captain Hans Joachim Buddecke's Turkish Pilot's Badge - a variation ?

Hello,

The wings on the Turkish pilot badges shown in the photos below are all looking downward toward the bottom right. All the badges I have known were like those until I noticed a photo of Captain Buddecke; he is wearing a badge and wings are looking upward toward the top right.

Is this a variation or was it an early type?

The Meybauer badge is a modern copy as seen on abey on mass. Meybauer turkish pilot badges looks different.

Meybauer is not the subject of this thread, the question is the upward looking badge.

Hi Demir,

i'm not an expert on this topic but the badge you mention is a known model. I see this on several pictures.

I already posted this picture on another thread but it match here. This guy wear the same badge like Buddecke except the position of the wing.

This picture is from 21st Thies auction.

Since the badge had no official Regulation then we have to accept these 2 types, but let's wait what our friends in the Forum say.

I think there are more types of this badge than two. There are several manufacturer (turkisch and foreign) who make this badges.

What I mean is wings 1. looking downward towards the bottom right and 2. looking upward towards top right.
