Paul R Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 I just wanted to share a couple of new ribbon bar! If someone could please ID the non German ribbons on the first bar, it would be greatly appreciated!RegardsPaul
Pete A Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 (edited) Hi Paul,The two blue ones in the middle are Finnish. The first one is 1918 medal of liberty 1st class, and the second 1918 liberation war commemorative medal. The last ribbon is unfortunately unknown to me.Pete-- Edit: Seems like Rick R. already beat me at the other forum. Edited February 22, 2006 by Pete A
Paul R Posted February 22, 2006 Author Posted February 22, 2006 Thank you Pete for your help in IDing the ribbon bar! There could not have been too many Germans Fighting with the Finnish in WW1!
Pete A Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 No problem. Some 13 000 Germans served in Finland during 1918, but not all of them got awards, some of them not even the 1918 commemorative. For more information, see threads "Finnish Awards to Germans in WW1" and "German troops in Finland 1918".Pete
Stogieman Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 I believe the last one is a variation on the Bulgarian WW1 Commemorative Service Medal...Pete! Thanks for helping out Paul!
Paul R Posted February 22, 2006 Author Posted February 22, 2006 Thank you for your help as well Rick!!!
