Jock Auld Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Guys, This is probably really easy for you imperial buffs. I am happy with the ID disk the Hindy and I guess the two pins are Rail workers long service awards. Can anyone ID the court mounted pair please? Thanks Jock:)
Dave Danner Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Both Prussian. Cross of the General Honor Decoration (Kreuz des Allgemeinen Ehrenzeichens) and General Honor Decoration in Silver (Allgemeines Ehrenzeichen in Silber).
Jock Auld Posted October 10, 2013 Author Posted October 10, 2013 Thanks Dave, Are they standards stuff? Thanks again. Jock:)
Dave Danner Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 I would think fairly standard for a long-serving Prussian lower-level official such as a Lokomotivführer. My understanding is that to be eligible for the Kreuz des Allgemeinen Ehrenzeichens, which replaced the Allgemeines Ehrenzeichen in Gold in 1900, one had to already have the Allgemeines Ehrenzeichen in Silber and also at least 30 years' of service as an official or NCO, though there may have been exceptions. So the combination would fit with the 25- and 40-year railway badges.
Jock Auld Posted October 12, 2013 Author Posted October 12, 2013 Guys, Thanks for the info I have past it on to my pal. Thanks Again. Jock:)
