Chris Boonzaier Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 This is intersting, he is wearing the DN in gold twice, I assume a regular award and one with a citation... I had not given it any thought, simply assumed it would all be on one ribbon.... Does this mean he would wear the medal twice as well ??
Dave Danner Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 (edited) Article 44 of the regulations for the medal states that "La médaille d'or de la défense nationale accompagnant la citation sans croix se juxtapose et précède dans le rang de préséance, la médaille de la défense nationale, échelon « bronze », « argent » ou « or »." Article 46 which covers the palms or stars to be worn on the ribbon, also says "La médaille ainsi attribuée ne comporte aucune agrafe". So you couldn't combine the two even if you wanted to. Chris Boonzaier Posted October 26, 2013 Author Posted October 26, 2013 So if the one with the star has no Agrafe (article 46) then technically he would have 2 DNs on his medal bar. Thats pretty interesting.
