The Officer who signed this....

Is it possible to say if the officer who signed this actually commanded the Regiment in 1914, or is this a catch up document issued at a later date?

I think it's a catch-up. In October 1914 Alfred Dietrich was commander of IR 68. Friedrich Müller, who I believe signed this document, assumed command on 17.03.1915.

Thanks a million, that helps me in a big way. Any idea how long Müller stayed in command? i.e. was he there in early 1916?
