Antonio Prieto Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 (edited) Any notice for the identificacion of the badges are welcome Thank you Edited November 18, 2013 by Antonio Prieto
Gordon Craig Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 (edited) Antonio, I can identify some of them. Top row left side is Bundesluftwaffe Jagdbomber-Geschwader 32 (Jabo G. 32); Top right is a generic patch for the EA-3B SKY WARRIOR aircraft. Carrier based aircraft only flown by the U.S. Navy. Squadron patches I have seen previously usually have the squadron number included in the design.; Bottom row left - unknown Bottom row centre - Radarfürungsabteiling 24 based in Freising; Bottom row left - unknown Regards, Gordon Edited November 20, 2013 by Gordon Craig
Laurence Strong Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 The lightning bolt on the lower right makes me think "Signals". Larry
Gordon Craig Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 The lightning bolt on the lower right makes me think "Signals". Larry Larry, You are probably correct. There are publish regulations, which are quite comprehensive, as to what symbols can be put on one of the breast hangers. They often include something that relates to the type of work the unit does as well as the location they are stations in. The bottom centre unit is based in Bavaria which is indicated by the blue and white checkered background. So is Jabo G. 32 and it is easy to this when you look at their squadron badge. The eagle in the upper right hand corner section of the badge you referred to indicates a command organization of some type. Logical for the BW. The world in the badge at the lower left would indicate it probably is a Topographical unit. Engineers use a stylized bridge. Regards, Gordon
