E Williams Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Has anyone noticed or questioned a few EKII on Ebay, although marked and authentic, the almost pristine condition of the core black when the silver bead outline rather worn?
Marcin L Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Can we have a link, please? That would be helpful.

Rogi Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 The guy has a excellent feedback so who am I to judge.Even guys with excellent feedback need to be informed if something is too good to be true.Everyone on ebay have excellent feedback now a days anyway :D
IrishGunner Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Yea, the eBay feedback system is a farce.
E Williams Posted November 30, 2013 Author Posted November 30, 2013 Take a close look at the crown on the EK and the bead wearing. Maybe I'm seeing into something that is not there: For some reason the forum won't let me copy and paste...................... but I got smilies!!!!!
E Williams Posted November 30, 2013 Author Posted November 30, 2013 (edited) But I could in PMs so there are some PMs inbound. Edited November 30, 2013 by E Williams
IrishGunner Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 But I could in PMs so there are some PMs inbound. And a PM returned, Ed. I see what you mean by the inner core looking very new and shiny. I think though that is the effect of the flash. If you enlarge the photos, you can see wear on the details of the oak leaves etc. On the other hand, isn't the price getting to be a bit pricey? Take anything I say though with a grain of salt; I'm am far from expert.

The seller has two more in a bit too pristine condition for me. I have some nice EKs but they are show some uniformed wear on high points.

That definitely has to be painted. A chunk that big would be showing bare metal at this point (and probably rust).
Rogi Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 The whole black part seems re-done. you can't get a uniform finish without slathering on some new stuff
