ks98 bayonet markings

Got any idea what W14 with crown above may mean? The Bayonet ricasso is marked V C Schilling SUHL. The W14 is on the spine of the blade and has a crowned gothic D below it

It's the Prussian mark (W=Wilhelm II) with the date of manufacture.

thats a SG98 n.A. (Seitengewehr 98 new style) (Old style had the wooden grip done in one piece)

So this is Wilhelm II and made in 1914? Any further info on the other markings at all?

all the rest are just control marks and the maker.

Nice piece... can take your eye out with that if you are not careful!!

Those control marks would be made by the issueing armoury .

And 1914 dated examples are not that common - not exactly rare, but certainly not common...
