claudio2574 Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Hello everybody. I would like to introduce a medal + diploma which I've received a few days ago. This medal is the most recent one in the field of sports official medals in Italy. It was created in 2006 for coaches and is assigned in a very small amount every year: 100 bronze, 50 silver and 25 gold are the maximum allowed. Actually much less are given: the diploma has the date october 2013 and its number is 318 only. Hope you like it.
paul wood Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 Thanks for sharing. As an England supporter I hope Fabio Capello never received one as his coaching was diabolical.Paul

claudio2574 Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 In Italy there is a set of honors officially awarded for sport reasons, since 1930, more or less. They are weared also by military people, since they are coming from an official law of the State. In brief, today they are: - Collare d'oro al merito sportivo, the highest level - Medaglia al valore atletico (gold, silver, bronze), for athletes - Stella al merito sportivo (gold, silver, bronze), for managers and clubs - Palma al merito tecnico (gold, silver, bronze), for coaches Here a link to Wikipedia (italian) about this http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Onorificenze_sportive_italiane Here a star for sport merit, silver grade, in the variant used until 2003:
