David M
Hi I am looking for the careerdates and possibly a picture of Johann Drandler. He was in Husaren-Regiment Nr 8, commanding it around 1871. I know he was eingereiht as a Major in the Jazygier und Kumanier Huszaren-Regiment Friedrich Fürst zu Liechtenstein Nr 13 September 7th, 1865. He was promoted Major already in 1861. He was an Oberst by 1871, commanding HR 8 did not make it to General-rank though. Hope to find out more here regards David
Ian
David, Unfortuantely my reference material does not go back far enough to cover your interest, but I did find this little bit: 1870 - 1876 Oberst and in command of HR 8. He handed over command of HR 8 to Oberst Friedrich Binder Not much, but I guess everhy little bit helps.
