Greetings, this is a recent addition. I am wondering if it is REME? Or just a tourist trinket? The emblem is quite crude and there are no markings to be found anywhere. All opinions welcome.

From the quality of the badge and lack of markings I'd say a bazaar copy, but not really my field.

I'm with Michael on this one - bazaar trinket. That badge is just horrendous. Especially since it's more like a Queen's Crown (post 1953) - it shouldn't look so mangled. By the way, it's Royal Artillery badge - not REME.

I'll add my two cents worth and agree.

The badge on these, and I've seen a few in my time, are always in better condition.

In my opinion the bugle would have been better off with no badge at all.

I assumed REME because of the color/coloure of the tassel. Not too bad for 20 quid. Thank you all for the feedback. I do appreciate it.

I'm afraid that even at 20 pounds, you have grossly overpaid ! These fake bugles have been turned out - in great numbers -

for a number of years. It is the Indians who are responsible - the Pakistani arms makers would do a much better job.

I think every flea market in the World has examples. Mervyn

Agree Mervyn, this xxxx has flooded the market some decades ago, and will run around for a century or more!

I wonder how many ignorant collectors throw good money at bad collectables like these?
