Richard S Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Hello Gentleman, here is my Order for distiungushed in work. Who has informations about this decoration. I would like to know in which period the order was awarded and for what? Avers:
Rogi Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Not a lot of info is out there for this one, I believe it is a transition piece. not a lot have been awarded out there. I believe it was introduced in the 1940s just after the end of the war, but other orders and medals took more presidence.
paja Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 (edited) Peoplе's Front Order for Devoted Labor (perhaps better translation of Орден Народног фронта за пожртвован рад) was established in 1948, number of awarded pieces is as far as I know not known, some speculate around 3000. I've seen pieces with numbers from two figures up to almost 3K so that could be true. Edited March 18, 2014 by paja
paja Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 I forgot to mention that the abbreviation НФЈ on the front side stands for Народни фронт Југославије meaning People's Front of Yugoslavia. Inscription ЗА ПОЖРТВОВАНИ РАД below it means for devoted labor.
