Upside down?

Hi all, I've been looking at some portraits on the 'net and came across this one, nothing remarkable, however the more I looked at it, the more convinced I became that he's wearing his oaks upside down!! or have I been spending to much time on frivolity?

any thoughts?

Hello Alex:

Yes, very interesting! He is definitely wearing his oak-leaves upside-down. But, who would have been so forward as to tell him such a thing? The photographer probably didn't know the difference, and if he did, he certainly would not have wanted to offend the subject of his photo.

Hi and thanks for the reply, I thought I wasn't going mad!, maybe his superior could have taken him to one side and whispered in his ear "Ludwig, it's on the wrong way" ]
