My newest acquisitions. Any comments? Does anyone know what the significance is for the little horizontal rectangle in the 12 o'clock position? Thanks.

This rectangle is for the inscription of the date of the action or concession. Also is possible see more rectangles in the other arms, any for each concession

I know that this is comparing apples to oranges, but in the grand scheme of things, would this award be comparable to an Iron Cross 1st. Class?

Some theorize the badges with the two side hooks on the reverse are WWII era (post Spanish Civil War).
