jonsey2001
Greetings, I am asking out of curiosity if others find these pins interesting? I have quite a few and I wonder if I am alone in hoarding them. -George
IrishGunner
George, You should post images of several. I'm sure someone would be interested. I've been meaning to pick up a couple WWI British Royal Artillery sweetheart pins. I haven't seen anything artillery related from the US.
jonsey2001
Will do, this weekend.
jonsey2001
This is the bulk of them I do have a couple WW1 vintage. I like them and I don't think very many collectors look for these. I like the older USMC ones the most. A few are made by Balfore and one in Providence R.I. George
IrishGunner
Nice pieces. I'm surprised the USMC pin in photo 3 has blue stones instead of red.
Chris Boonzaier
Can you post a clearer shot of the red devil badge? So... were there bragging rights amongst girls back then? jonsey2001
Gunner, that on is fairly new compared to the rest. Anyone else have any?
--dj--Joe
Nice to see them and thank you for showing them. Brought back good memories. I have a few (very view) tucked away. Nothing much different than what you show. One is more trench art / sweetheart - a 45 round with an eagle and shield with a small ring to suspend it. Mass produced I'm sure as I have seen others. At one time I had a number of them but another collector wanted them more. I think there is at least one collectors reference on them. Many interesting examples were made. --dj--Joe
--dj--Joe
I saw one artillery related just now while searching. Crossed cannons with a U.S. hanging from a son in service devise. --dj--Joe

jonsey2001
Today I walked an antique shop for a good 90 minutes. And I did not see one sweetheart. That is not normal.
speagle
Found this at a local antique store. My wife likes sterling silver things (which is what this is). Anyway, I've found a new thing to look for now :-)
