oamotme Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Ilja, The image of the one on the left is unclear thus inscription is illegible but the imagery looks Baathist/Socialist so possibly Syrian or Iraqi and may be some federation or association. The one on the right reads "Wissam Al Ezzat Zalah Durra'a Al Fatah" - Order of Honour Zalah (???) Shield of Conqueror - the language would infer a state award but again this may be a faction or party award. Regards, Owain
922F Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Right side image item sold on e--- for U.S.$87 including postage! Was attached to a red sash, not a pinback star.
oamotme Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Yes, I saw it for sale but did not bid - but even as a mystery piece $87 is OK, Owain
oamotme Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 On looking at the one on the left again the style is reminiscent of the Order of Rafidain and thus it is of Iraqi origin and the ribbon inscription appears to read "Arab Union of X?X? Manufactures" or similar. Owain
