I'd appreciate help on this zelt it doesn't follow the m31 pattern, is it even German? the buttons are zinc and the grommets are ally.

Are there any stamps or dates? It could be a HJ zelt.

Hi Paul

No stamps nothing but they may have been washed out, the opening is horizontal instead of vertical and the bottom edge is different from German '30's zelts least the ones I assume to be correct. The buttons don't line up with the m1892 I may try and find something on other nations gear http://www.zeltbahn.net/types.htm

I remember hearing that Swiss Zelts have this pattern. I will have do do some googling to be sure though. Interesting item.
