bigjarofwasps
Ladies/Gents, Is it possible to get a bar to a UK Police LSGC medal? If so long do you have to additional serve to qualify for it?
Robin Lumsden
No bar to the regular police LSGC. This used to be given for 22 years service, but is now given for 20. The Special Constabulary LSGC has a bar added for extra years (from memory ........... a bar every additional 9 years). bigjarofwasps
Thanks Robin, that's what I thought. Interesting that no bar is awarded, especially when you now consider that it's possible for an officer to serve 42 years if not longer, these days. Robin Lumsden
Anyone sentenced to serve for 42 years would qualify for The Order of the Dead.
