EK 1914 Displaying WW1 EK1s with the recipient...

Some time ago I realised that i had a bunch of identified WW1 EK1s....

These were either in complete groups, or ebay sellers who were selling their relatives medals... I have started displaying them with enlarged Photos of the winner.... Fits nicely in a Binder....

This cavalry officer lost an Arm, served in a POW camp in WW2 and commited suicide after the war....

This Saxon Jäger officer was difficult to pin down, but nailed thanks to the research gnomes on the forum......

In this case no Photo of the man, but he was in a Pionier Unit in the Argonne forest, so the Argonne Pionier Song is a good mounting board....

Nice! I like that.

I can pin down two of mine and have a photo on one of them being worn by the recipient, the third has a common name on it so although I was pointed in the general direction by the seller, it might just have been a story.

in the 2nd photo he is the one to the right of the EK2
