Named Coast Guard Medal Group

I want to share with you all a named US Coast Guard medal group to:

VALDERRAMA, Rick CDR ( SNYN 50-51 ) NJ [R]
Updated Oct. 22, 2006
Passed away on May 18, 2006
Stationed at Base St. George after boot camp in 1950
Delivered coal to lighthouses on CGC OAK, an old buoy tender
Graduated from YN school and assigned to Rockaway
Transferred to Marine Inspection office in Manhattan
CGC Spencer in 1953 for one weather patrol.
Discharged from active duty as YN3 at CG Yard, Curtis Bay, MD
Sailed 10 years with Military Sea Transportation Service MSTS as Assistant Purser.
Left MSTS in 1965 to work with the CG as a civilian and a Reservist, serving in California,
CG Headquarters, Yorktown, VA and Governors Island, NY
Progressed to Chief Yeoman and Ship's Clerk/Personnel Admin (W-2)
Selected to LTJG and promoted up the line to CDR.

Retired in 1988 and recalled in 1989 to active duty on Governor's Island, NY
with MLCLANT as the Civil Rights Officer.
Served as Asst. Chief, Personnel Division until retiring again 1993.

Reserve Good Conduct Medal

National Defense Service Medal, with two stars

Humanitarian Service Medal

Reserve Forces Medal

Those are unnamed medals, so they will be easy to replace. The seller acquired this set from a huge lot of medals received from a collectors estate sale. He is looking to see if the other medals are still around somewhere.

Thanks Rogi!! You and me both. Still, a great set as CG named medals from any era are not easy to find.
