Brian R Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Great sets!! I think it could be a coincidence as there were plenty of guys names Röckl who served during the World Wars. That said, both made it to the collecting world in that they were both ultimately offered for sale. So, it could all come from one family where the group was broken up. I've seen this with photos and award documents - groups get split up and then are offered by various dealers in the months or years after.
Chris Boonzaier Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 The Fuss artillery one is from the unit to the Mother, her name is Syglin.... the guy in the units name was Josef, so it corresponds to the EK1 box name.....
Chris Boonzaier Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Served in the Bayerische Wehr Regiment in 1919.No EK 1 awarded during the war, i think it is a post war award, I think not uncomman for a young Lt.
Streptile Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 EK1 seems to be a KO and EK2 is a very nice BH Mayer.
