Instructed with Gewehr 98 and "Zielfernrohrgewehr" (Telescopic-sight rifle???? - I don´t know the engl. translation...)

In my military translation book, I found "Telescopic-sight". But it´ll be the same

That simple entry often adds a zero to a Militäerpass price!!! Which unit was he in?

Ah, sorry Chris!

He joined the army in Inf.Rgt.24 (Rekruten-Deppot) and came later in Inf.Rgt.52

No. He was sent into field in summer 1916. Douaumont was before.
