NOR_collector Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Hi.I know that some of these has been discussed in here before, but I really want some new opinions on all my KM badges.I have taken some new pictures without using the flash on the camera. This way the badges looks more "normal" and not to bright because of the flash. I have done this because some of the badges looked like they had been repainted. I have tried to use nail polish on the basges and no paint is coming off.I really need your help on this one because I think all of these are going to the "for sale" forum soon. Here is alink to my badges.http://home.online.no/~krheriks/bilder/KMBadges.htmIf you need more pictures then please let me know.Thanks.Best regards,Andr
Gordon Williamson Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 These all look like original wartime pieces. None that I'd have any problems with.

Colin O. Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Only a newbie chipping in his 2 cents......but shouldn't the boat in the Aux Cruiser be the same finish as the wreath and also the globe colour seems strange, like the badge has been re-finished.Colin.
Gordon Williamson Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 These later one-piece Aux Cruisers often did have a dark grey finished globe, so I wouldn't be over concerned at that. You are right about the boat though. Either the finish has been removed from the boat, or the whole badge has lost its finish and gilding only reapplied to the wreath/eagle. Definitely original though.
Scott Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 (edited) I owned the Aux Cruiser badge before Andre. It had the finish shown when I purchased it 20+ years ago ... it didn't look messed with, but perhaps at some point it was (?)Scott Edited March 16, 2006 by Scott
