dante Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Great picture, this is one of the reasons why the wings were moved to the arm
Chris Boonzaier Posted July 6, 2015 Author Posted July 6, 2015 Hi, I thought SAS wings on the chest had a special meaning of some sort? BestChris
dante Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Originally wings were going to be placed there as they were linked to flying and the RAF then they were placed on the arm when it was decided they were trade badges, during the war SF and SOE placed them above medal ribbons to denote a combat jump.
