Odulf Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 (edited) For quite some time I have these two photos in my collection, both albumen prints from around 1875, showing a re-enactment of a French uniform I believe to be 1st Hussars. As this early period of uniforms is not within my scope, I cannot Judge if it is a correct uniform nor during which period of time it was worn. The guy has both the busby hat (on the table) and the shako. Who knows more about this uniform? Edited July 17, 2015 by Odulf
Paul R Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Looks like he was playing with grandpa's uniform. I bet all of that stuff was original period made.
