Odulf
Recently this nice group portrait came in (with message in steno), sent in 1911 from the Military Training Grounds near Zeithain in Sachsen.Does any one know which Regiments? Thanks for your help!
Chip
I see two units. the Garde Reiter Rgt. and an Ulanen regiment. Could they have switched caps? I don't know of an Ulanen unit that wore white caps. I'll leave that for others to sort out.
The Prussian
Hello Chip!Saxon Uhlans had white caps! N° 17, 18 and 21 (not on the plate - it came later...)With white Litzen we have 17 or 21 Edited October 7, 2015 by The Prussian
Chip
Thanks Andy, I had not remembered that. It must be Ulanen Regt.17 then, as the Epauletten appear to be solid metal with no colored field.
