Guest Rick Research
That's quite interesting! It says he was the "first" volunteer for officer training in the Kregsmarine-- which implies that there were OTHERS.And if the NAVY...???? army???? Luftwaffe (wups-- further down today's posts-- you are on a roll =http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=6705&hl=SS, of course. This is quite an amazing discovery! Simon Orchard
Very interesting find. I have heard of Norwegians serving in the KM but this is the first time i've seen an individual named along much of his service career. What's the date of the newspaper, seems to be 1944 sometime? The article says he died protecting the Norwegian coast against the bolsheviks so from that i gather he was up in Finnmark. If you know his date of death we should be able to figure out what ship he served on.
