Chris Boonzaier Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Or rare variation I know nothing about? http://www.ebay.de/itm/Pickelhaube-Preusen-Tschako-Jager-1-WK-im-guten-Sammlerzustand-/131656040336?hash=item1ea74fbf90:g:F94AAOSwsFpWTdZ7
Hoss Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Chinstrap is a copy, Chris I'm not an expert they did make a one press piece (see kraus) but this one has separate stitched on visors? It's funky, I wouldn't buy it without asking Karel first. btw those circular ink stamps are faked, I have one on my Haube copy from over 30yrs ago. Eric
Adler 1 Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 It looks real to me, it's almost the same as the one I have. This one has the visors reinforced with rivets but for the rest it looks the same as my Tschako. It appears that mine was worn with two kokarden and no feldzeichen... maybe hard to prove, but it was found decades ago and has serious imprints of that Prussian kokarde... Here are some pics... Chris Boonzaier Posted November 21, 2015 Author Posted November 21, 2015 Hi, your one reassures me .... already the stamps and labels in the ebay one worried me....
Adler 1 Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 The one on ebay looks fine at first sight, but after looking again and again, it seems less and less original... The pictures are also taken from a funky angle and cover up the strange form of the entire thing. If you are interested in it, I would certainly ask a hands on inspection... Adler 1
