probably a +/- 1850 Belgian chasseur à cheval sword

Collection is going slow now. All the money and attention is going to the house at the momment...but never the less, I managed to get this nice sword.

To me it is a Belgian chasseur a cheval sword. Seen here with a chasseur a cheval officer shako.

But further identification needs to be done.

Nasty flashy stuff!  I'm sure you'll quickly tire of it, then some charitable member will offer to take it off your hands at not too  much of a loss.

Renovations AND collecting?  Who's a lucky boy, then?
