Jock Auld Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 Guys, This is a bit poorly. I suppose you could still club someone with it!
peter monahan Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Indeed! More than just a little challenging for a gunsmith to restore. Where was it dug up, do you know?
Brian Wolfe Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 First dug-up sten I've seen, thanks for posting the photos. Looks like there may not be many more generations who might find such artifacts before they are nothing but a reddish stain in the ground. Regards Brian
Bernhard H.Holst Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 hello readers. I do not want to steal Jock's thunder but if this was found in Jock's present residence area it could well be left during the last several days of combat actions in Northern Germany just before the capitulation in early May, 1945. Near my home area Rotenburg old earth works could still be seen in the 1960's. Bernhard H. Holst
Jock Auld Posted September 19, 2016 Author Posted September 19, 2016 It is from the local area North of Soltau, specific area I don't know.
