Jock Auld Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 (edited) Guys, Not military but with President Hindenburgs autograph, printed or original, not sure but for €5 the whole thing with frame I don't care one way or the other. You can see where I wiped away the layers of grime around the seal and autograph. My pictures are not the best but I love these pressed seals which you can not see here too clearly through the glass unfortunately. Edited December 4, 2016 by Jock Auld
Bernhard H.Holst Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 Hello Jock. Thank you for showing this. I believe in some states making up the German Empire from 1871 to 1918 special decorations concerning the Golden Anniversaries were bestowed. First time I see one over the signature of our then President, Generalfeldmarschall v. Hindenburg. Bernhard H. Holst, born in 1931 while v.Hindenburg was president
Jock Auld Posted December 4, 2016 Author Posted December 4, 2016 Glad you like it Bernhard, I will clean it up and take a better picture when we get some sun again. If one has made through 50 years of marrage I think a bravery award would be in order!
speedytop Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 For the man or for his wife? It is definitely a printed autograph. My document, in not so good condition, came in a large mailing tube, dated 12. January 1931. Uwe
