Georg14 Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 Good afternoon, Gentlemen. Maybe someone knows something about this cross ( x60mm, 46g, gilded Br or Cu, revers the same). A few months ago I saw the same in the internet, but I can not find it anymore. Thanks.
paul wood Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 Georg I believe it is a Knight's Templar insignia. A quasi masonic organisation. Paul
Georg14 Posted December 21, 2016 Author Posted December 21, 2016 It's quite possible, thanks. But may be more opinions ?
peter monahan Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 (edited) The Masonic Knights Templar seem largely to use a different design of cross [below] thought the Scottish Templar have one which looks like yours in shape. [Sorry, I've lost my cross vocabulary today but I think its called a 'cross patte'.] However, like Paul, I strongly suspect it belongs to one of the religious or fraternal orders in Europe or N America. Ulsterman Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 Is that a donors' variation of the Knigjts of Malta? Or an Austrian Malta Knights' members' badge ? Major Zulus?
Georg14 Posted February 15, 2017 Author Posted February 15, 2017 Good Morning. Now it is known exactly that this is a Cross of 10-11 degree of Sweden/Norwegian Masons.
paul wood Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 A nice accompaniment to the Order of Karl XIII Paul
Georg14 Posted February 15, 2017 Author Posted February 15, 2017 But where to find this order ? Is it a rare, expensive ?
