Marcin L Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Dear Friends, Would anyone be able to tell anything more about Georg Wilhelm August Freiherrn von Bülow. I have his patent for Seeofficier dated 1894. Many thanks and all the best, Marcin
Odulf Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 His name is not in the Navy List 1914 (closed 12 May 1914) and not in the Ehrenranglste (Honours list) 1914-1918, so he must have left the Navy before the War.
HeikoGrusdat Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Interesting man..... 1904 commander of Flusskanonenboot Vaterland in China (Kapitänleutnant) , 1907 1.Werftdivision Kiel , 1909 Nachrichtenoffizier of SMS PREUSSEN (Korvettenkapitän) and 1912 Adjudant of Viceadmiral von Dambrowski in Kiel Inspektion des Bildungswesens der Marine....this is the first time any awards shine up - officers long service cross (25 years) , Red eagle order 4.class and Johanniter Ehrenritter ....think he has left navy between 1912 and 1914 Edit: 1900 Oberleutnant zur See auf Schulschiff CHARLOTTE
HeikoGrusdat Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Found him in the Ehrenrangliste.....during ww1 in some Nachrichtenstabsabteilungen in Mitau , Libau and Bukarest , finally Stab der Hochseestreitkräfte , finished as Fregattenkapitän a.D.
