Soviet An interesting Stalingrad Medal

I recently aquired this interesting Medal for the Defense of Stalingrad. The recipient has completely covered the ribbon with tape. There's nothing like a tape covered medal. I kinda like it.

Here's an interesting Defense of the Caucasus. It has the plastic cover sewn over the ribbon.

Very hard to find-- the thin old plastic sheets are usually broken and petrified.
