Does anybody know where (or if) it is possible to buy (or who is likely to sell) vintage WW1:

-> ca 4.5cm wide plain red US ribbons,

-> ca 4.5cm Whitehead & Hoag Co slot brooches?

In  the mean-time I managed to find the ribbon.

... but  am still looking for two 4.5cm Whitehead & Hoag Co slot brooches...

Not my field, but I believe theat the Orders and Medals Society of America [OMSA  http://www.omsa.org/ ] maintains a 'ribbon bank' for the use of members and, perhaps, others.  It might be worth checking out if you plan to collect US medals.
