laurentius
Dear people of GMIC I have recently acquired this meritmedal from baden in gold, I am aware that the ribbon and the catchsystem on the ribbon are not authentic. yet someone told me this was a peacetime ribbon, without the common red stripe through the middle of the yellow ribbon. Could someone verify this? ( the medal is marked at the bottom, see picture) Thanks in advance Kind regards Laurentius Well, darned, I can't seem to be able to upload the picture of the bottom with the maker mark. Too bad, I can only describe it as a fly, a small round piece, with 2 attached ´´wings´´
tompress
Hi, this is the right ribbon for this medal. Another ribbon (with red stripe) was awarded for merit on battlefield. Tomasz Edited July 8, 2017 by tompress
Beau Newman
Although the small gold medal was awarded on the combat ribbon, there is no record of the large gold medal ever being awarded on the combat ribbon during WWI.
