derekb09
Hi Everyone, I have been advised to repost this request in this section, I am trying to identify the sword in the photographs which is 83.5 cm overall with a 70.0 cm blade. The only marking I can see is "SOLINGEN". Regards, Derek.
peter monahan
Nineteenth century, cavalry sabre, possibly German or French would be my guess. Bayern
The pommel is not French type , the hilt is rare , its like the one of the Polish Navy officers sword 1927 pattern . Solingen various manufacturers provided swords , sabres and bayonets to many countries , in South America and the Balkans , Spain too .
