    Hello Gentlemen!

Today I present you the German Bayonet 98/02 with saddlebacks. It was usually part of the equipment of the non-commissioned officers (Unteroffiziere).

This particular bayonet was found in a sewer and professionally restored. The handles and sheath were complemented.

Here it is depicted in comparsion with the standard version which was later replaced by the 98/05 ("German butcher blade bayonet").

    Bye, Tobias

    Sorry,
thanks for the correction! Yes, of course it is a Bayonet 98!
The labels for the edged weapons vary greatly (especially in the postwar equipment), therefore I got one confused.

    Sorry again for the mistake.

Good news is: now I'm presenting you the actual bayonet 98/02. Please enjoy.

    Bye,

    Tobias
