Ostuf Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 Guys, anybody could say who is the Kapitanleutnat signature? Dokument dated 18.Mai 1919 from Wilhelmshaven, II Minensucher Division Thanks!!
GreyC Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 Hi, can´t help much. He was Halbflotillen-Chef of the IVth Minensuchhalbflotille. He was a "von" and his name starts (I think) with an SCH. Coud be von Schemich? or sth like it. GreyC
Ostuf Posted January 7, 2018 Author Posted January 7, 2018 ...and the last two letters seems to be IG or IH. This one is not easy
Dave Danner Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 It is Maximilian v. Zitzewitz: Maximilian Ernst Günther Gneomar, *6.1.1886 in Berlin, †4.2.1937 in Elbing; Crew of 1905, 18.2.16 Kapitänleutnant, char. Korvettenkapitän a.D.
GreyC Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 Hi Dave, now that you write it.... Spot on! I shall give up on trying to decipher signatures. GreyC
