coldstream Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Private (Acting Corporal) 108873 William Tucker is shown on the Rolls of the 2nd Durham Light Infantry as being entitled to the British War Medal and Victory Medal only for his World War One Service, will take a look to see if his Service Record has survived and get back to you. Simon.
coldstream Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Have looked at the World War One Service records and Silver War Badge records available via Ancestry UK with no further trace I'm afraid. The link below will show details of the Durham Light Infantry in the War. http://www.longlongtrail.co.uk/army/regiments-and-corps/the-british-infantry-regiments-of-1914-1918/durham-light-infantry/ Regards Simon.
Leuchtturm Posted September 27, 2018 Author Posted September 27, 2018 Hi Simon, many thanks for your work and great help. I´m not sad that you can´t find something, it´s just always really interesting. Many best and best wishes Chris
