In addition doe anyone have similar information on WWI Iron Cross 2nd class winner, Rudolph Delius of the Imperial German Navy. Nicolas7507 Posted May 6, 2019 Share Posted May 6, 2019 (edited) Hi Peter, here is some information on Dr. Walter von Delius: Walter von Delius Born on 21.04.1875 in Hildesheim Deceased on 23.11.1961 in Berlin-Lichterfelde PLM on 20.01.1918 as Major and Commander I. Bataillon / Garde-Füsilierregiment / 3. Garde-Infanteriedivision The reason for the award was the Battle of Cambrai. From November 23 to December 1, 1917, Major von Delius and his battalion successfully participated in the battles for the forest and town of Bourlon.
