Information I have is he was a lt col in 1958 and was at a later date a brigadier name was P.H.MAY had para wings DSO,OBE,MC johniter cross was part of the 8th in Africa and was MID during ww2. any help with this is greatly appreciated cheers Tom

Gunner 1 Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 The only possible officer appears to be Peter Harry Mitchell May, DLI, DSO, OBE, MC, three MiDs. Served with 4 Para Bde and later with 6 Airborne Bde.

paddywhack Posted September 21, 2019 Posted September 21, 2019 Just to update IV checked the rolls for the 1953 coronation medal(last ribbon) and Peter Harry May is listed there and it matches what awards he had then(OBE was after 53) and what has been listed in the above posts,his service number to find his entries on the London gazette is 56729 ,hope this helps a bit for you!(also IV attached his entry in the 53 rolls)
