75th Anniversary of the unconditional surrender of Nazi Germany

Today 75 years ago, exactly at 23.01, the capitulation of Nazi Germany came into force. This document was also called "German Instrument of Surrender". A bloody war since 1939 came finally to an end.

Perhaps the official fighting came to an end, but now it was open season on German civilians and POW's, as evidenced by the unprecedented ethnic cleansing of eastern Europe.
