Linasl Posted January 12, 2021 Posted January 12, 2021 Greetings Everyone, I am a collector and eBay seller. I recently bout a patch that the seller claims is from the French 1er Division Aerienne from the WWII era and made in the UK. I have four simple questions: 1. can you tell from the photo that it is 1er Division Aerienne? 2. can you tell from the photo if it is WWII era? 3. can you tell from the photo if it was made in the UK? 4. which air force service is this for? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Linas
Bayern Posted January 13, 2021 Posted January 13, 2021 Its a French Armee del Air badge carried on the left breast in 1940 . your badge is the one for enlisted men an Junior NCOs . the Flight branch carried also a five pointed star inside de open curl between the wings in orange colour. the badge was used until the end of the War and beyond,by all Airmen.
