Insignia: A bronze 10-sided medal displaying the SA coat of arms, crossed flags, and "1995-2005" (obverse) and the SAPS emblem and "South African Police Ten Year Commemoration Medal" (reverse). 1ST TYPE (with low number) = note star in flag and thickness of flower/plant on back – 38mm. diameter/// 2ND TYPE (with high number) = note star in flag and thinness of flower/plant on back – 40mm. diameter.
