Deutschritter
There seems to have been two Sigismund von Förster: (1856–1934) and (1887–1959). Does anyone know if they were father and son? Any and all information on these two officers would be greatly appreciated!
Deutschritter
Follow up: General der Infanterie Arthur Sigismund von Förster (1856–1934) was indeed the father of General der Infanterie Sigismund von Förster (1887–1959). Arthur Sigismund von Förster received the Pour le Mérite in 1901, does anyone know if he received EK II and I in WWI? Thanks! Glenn J
Andreas, General der Infanterie von Förster. Although not seen in this image, he is listed as receiving the EK1 in 1914 in "Die Ritter des Eisernen Kreuzes" Band 1, Heft 1.
