Grandad in WW2

Hi ,

Just thought i,d show these bits and bobs from my Grandad,s war days .

He was Sargeant Douglas Hargreaves in the Military Police based in Rangoon , Burma and told me a few good stories and hated the Japanese with a vengeance .

Although nothing exciting like an MM they are my most treasured possesion .

I also have an uncle's stuff. Among them some medals he brought back (German / Italian). Some of them including an SS BL stickpin can bring some pretty hefty sums of money.

I will not sell them due to the heirloom that they represent to me.

Grant, what was Grandads service? Would he be entitled to more medals, such as the Defence Medal?

Nice grouping , and the stories you should put to paper. I to have a couple uncles stuff wish i could get thier records .
