New acquisition-Technical Skills badge

Here’s pictures of a first class Technical Skills badge that I just picked up. The only information I can find is from Rich C’s awesome website. I’m hoping for some more information if it’s known as to what exactly this badge was awarded for.

1st grade (Kō) 1st class badge for the winner of technical skills training competition that was held by Army Weapons Administration Headquarters. 

Made by Naigai workshop in Tokyo.

Issued somewhere between 1942 and 1945.
