Matthew Macleod
I don't see any red flags, at least from those pics. Why do you have doubts? Anything in particular?
dcollect
piece nr 2 came to me with a fake ribbon so i find it very strange .
Matthew Macleod
Is there a mark on the medal's ribbon ring? I like the medal. I like its details. The fact that it features burnished highlights (swastika & verso lettering) is a good thing. I don;t think I have seen that feature on fakes with the exception of early Souval knock-offs. I wouldn't worry to much about fake ribbons, it happens, pieces get complemented. Sellers sometimes just want to upgrade an original piece to make some more bucks but it doesn't say anything about the medal in question. Best. Might be just me, but I think you got two very nice originals here. I'd love to have them in my collection.
